C O M M U N I T Y / S U P P O R T

The concept of paying it forward is important to me. Corporate social responsibility is essential and I believe it is just as important at a community level.  At Luceat Consulting I support the following charities and organisations:

Giant Steps

Giant Steps was founded to help educate children and families experiencing autism, to alleviate associated stress and to guide in the achievement of measurable results.  Autism is a pervasive development disorder which affects social and communication skills and, to a greater or lesser degree, motor and language skills.

At Giant Steps we spread a culture of caring and professional excellence through our school and the broader community.  Our transdisciplinary approach integrates both teaching and therapy (music, occupational and speech) throughout all programs which are designed to be motivating, engaging and individualised. Teachers and therapists work together to create 'socially and emotionally rich' learning environments aimed at increasing levels of engagement in learning across all age groups.

Langa Sanitary Towel Project

The Langa Sanitary Towel Project is a proudly ProteamSA initiative. Our aim is to assist young girls in Langa Township, by restoring dignity and helping ensure, that eventually, no girl misses school because she’s having her period.

Studies have shown, that most of these underprivileged girls miss school for at least four days each month over their menstruation time. These issues are not talked about in their community, due to embarrassment, lack of understanding and the low priority of such problems in the face of starvation, violence, death, illiteracy and the many struggles of daily life.

Sydney Jewish Museum (SJM)

The Sydney Jewish Museum was established in 1992 by the generation of Holocaust survivors who came to Australia. They envisioned the Museum as a place which could hold their stories and personal objects, memorialise those who were murdered during the Holocaust, and within which the lessons from the past would be taught.

26 years since its inception, the Museum continues to give a voice to the victims of the Holocaust so their stories can start conversations and inspire change.

Trish MS Research Foundation

The Trish Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation has very specific aims for the research projects for which the money is being raised. The Foundation is focused on achieving its goal, all their research funds being put towards an ultimate cure, in other words myelin protection, repair or restoration.

The Foundation is very determined to work hard and raise a great deal of money for research in the hope that others will not have to suffer as Trish Langsford did. If the legacy that Trish leaves has been a cure for this debilitating disease, she will not have suffered in vain. The Foundation was set up because, watching Trish suffer in the nursing home with end stage MS, her family and friends decided to establish a Foundation named after Trish with the specific goal of working towards finding a cure for MS and eventually prevention.
